I build AI-powered engineering tools and work with teams to bring them into everyday delivery.

A bit about my work

About

At Nexi Digital, I build internal AI tools and help engineering teams bring them into day-to-day software delivery. Earlier, I led Android feature delivery and a development team for Nexi Pay.

  • AI for software delivery

Builds and deploys AI-powered tools that support everyday engineering work.

  • Engineering workflows

Connects tools, teams, and repeatable practices across the software lifecycle.

  • Mobile product leadership

Earlier, led Android delivery and worked directly with the client on product improvements.

Dimensions of AI-enabled Mobile and Embedded Devices: an Integration Design Guide

A design guide and graphical tool for choosing AI deployment approaches on resource-constrained mobile and embedded devices.

Context
Master's thesis in Computer Science and Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Milan.
Contribution
Defined five design dimensions—resources, availability, accuracy, timeliness, and privacy—and developed a graphical tool to compare local, distributed, and hybrid deployment approaches. Applied the method to an OCR use case for credit-card registration in a banking app.
Outcome
The thesis reports a local OCR benchmark using TensorFlow Lite and concludes that local inference fits the use case's latency and privacy needs. Its dynamically quantized model pipeline measured 28.4 MB total model size and around 0.4 seconds of inference on a Redmi K20 Pro with four threads.

How to Build an Arbitrage Bot

A co-authored research and benchmark study of the architecture behind a decentralized-exchange arbitrage searcher on Ethereum.

Context
Research project at the Polytechnic University of Milan, co-authored with Elia Maggioni and Lucas Manini.
Contribution
Co-authored a model for cyclic arbitrage across decentralized exchanges and a two-stage architecture: startup-time market-graph construction followed by block-driven state synchronization and arbitrage-path evaluation.
Outcome
Built a benchmark implementation to examine graph-construction space and runtime costs, including synchronization and arbitrage checks. The report documents the architecture, complexity analysis, and benchmark results.

Forward Deployed Engineer

Scope

  • Built and deployed a Dockerized Python agentic SDLC assistant using PydanticAI, integrating Jira, GitHub repositories, CI pipelines, and internal developer workflows for ticket triage, root-cause analysis, patch generation, and test recommendations.
  • Designed and published reusable SDLC skills and agents in a shared enterprise library for planning, code understanding, implementation, testing, and documentation workflows.
  • Designed a standardized Agile Way of Working and AI efficiency KPI framework to measure productivity, cost impact, and adoption outcomes across engineering teams.
  • Led AI-driven SDLC transformation across 20+ Nexi Digital teams responsible for core IT operations, engaging approximately 300 engineering and business stakeholders through Codex adoption, AI education, and workflow redesign.

Impact

  • Supported ticket triage, root-cause analysis, patch generation, and test recommendations, with 200+ accepted fixes to date.
  • The framework supported a projected 30% reduction in software development operating costs.
  • Co-developed, with the Nexi Digital CIO area, an approved plan to scale the transformation to approximately 1,000 people.
